Finca la Lima is named after the many fruit trees, especially lime trees, on the property.
This coffee is grown in Penachi, in the Lambayeque region, at an altitude of 1800 masl in the north of Peru. In this region, coffee is mainly produced by small farmers on
cultivated land of often less than one or two hectares. It is one of the few
areas in Peru that still grow the Typica coffee variety. Maydi Gonzales Monteza is a single mother of three sons and also grows bananas in addition to coffee.
