CAFESCOR | SHG EP | ORGANIC
CAFESCOR, initiated by small coffee producers in Corquín Copan in 2012, was legally established on September 30, 2014. Initially with 25 partners, it is now a public limited company with variable capital and 440 partners, including 85 women. The production areas, mainly in mountainous terrain, prioritize diverse ecosystems.
CAFESCOR actively promotes ecosystem conservation through reforestation, sustainable forest and water source management, and other annual initiatives. All of the organization's production adheres to an ecological plan, using organic fertilizers produced in their research center.
With 38 permanent and up to 60 temporary workers during the coffee season, CAFESCOR generates employment for approximately 10,000 workers in maintenance and harvesting. The organization annually undertakes community projects focusing on health, education, environmental protection, and access roads.
