The coffee farm La Esmeralda Acatenango, to which also a wet mill belongs, was founded almost 100 years ago as one of the first farms in Acatenango by José Domingo Pérez Rosales and is now in the third generation of the family. As the name implies, the farm is located in the traditional coffee region of Acatenango near the volcanoes Acatenango and Fuego. The fertile volcanic soil gives rise to a very special cup profile.
