This particular coffee is grown in the hilly region of Mutambu at altitudes of 1600 to 1900m. In this region coffee is mainly produced by small farmers on cultivated land of often less than one hectare. Much manual work is required to pick the coffee, to transport down the mountain and to process elaborately.
