BURUNDI
MPEMBA | FULLY WASHED | GRADE A1
Kazoza n'ikawa means "future of coffee". During the process of privatization of the coffee sector in Burundi, coffee farmers were organised into national associations. As these associations couldn’t compete with private investors, cooperatives were founded to fulfil both their social and economic mission. This way the Kazoza n'ikawa cooperative was founded in 2007, which has its own washing station. Here, cherries of members of the cooperative are processed.
