Dusangirijambo means "bringing ideas together" and is committed to promote farmers and community development. During the process of privatization of the coffee sector in Burundi, coffee farmers were organized into national associations. As these associations couldn’t compete with the private investors, they founded cooperatives to fulfil both their social and economic mission. In this way Dusangirijambo Cooperative was born in 2007, to which 4,428 producers belong.
