BURUNDI
GATERAMA | FULLY WASHED | GRADE A1
In 2016 Cassien Nibaruta used his engineering skills to plan, design and build the Gaterama Washing Station. A highly professional facility resulted from his strong efforts. The coffee is grown by local farmers on small plantations of up to 200 coffee trees. The ripe cherries are brought to the washing stations and are hand sorted on drying tables as well as by using a floater. They are then pulped and fermented for 12 hours, both dry & wet.
